In the wilderness sometimes baby elephants get orphaned and eventually get killed, the main purpose of this facility is to rehabilitate and release them back to the wild. Sponsored by the Born Free Foundation and Sri Lanka's Department of Wildlife Conservation, this is unlike any other orphanage, what you can do is observe elephants on a viewing platform while they are under the care of department caretakers.
